Raised in a small Kansas town, Bob graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in electrical engineering.

Bob joined Landmark in 1989, became CEO in 1992 and helped grow revenue from approximately $35 million to nearly $500 million before Halliburton acquired the company.

As CEO beginning in 2003, Bob led acquisitions, research and integrated solutions that helped grow market capitalization from about $100 million to $1.2 billion.

limited to one industry.


Beyond energy, Bob invested in and helped build Ruggles Green, a Houston restaurant concept focused on healthy menu options. He also launched and successfully exited a separate premium bottled-water company built around advanced purification technology.

Today, he advises CEOs, founders and leadership teams across industries—bringing the same discipline, curiosity and judgment to every table.

Bob and Susie established the Peebler Engineering Scholarship in 2012. They have also supported engineering laboratories, mentored students through KUEST Bridge, and served on the KU School of Engineering advisory board since 2013.

Success is also measured

Susie built a distinguished career in oil and gas exploration and now integrates Eastern and Western medicine in her work to promote health and well-being.

They live in Houston, Texas, and Ojai, California, where curiosity continues to guide their days. They value time with family, and Bob and Susie are proud parents of two sons and grandparents of three.
